General Inn Policies

Smoking No smoking is permitted within the inn.
Careful, considerate smoking is permitted on the screened side porch, front porch or on the rear deck. Failure to respect this policy and smoking in your room will result in a minimum charge of $200.00 for dry cleaning and loss of use of the room.

Pets Although we love animals, we cannot accept pets at Inn Victoria. If traveling with your pet is a must, we'll be happy to refer you to another inn that will accommodate these understandably special traveling companions.

Damage We accept accidents can happen and are used to dealing with these situations with good humor. If you do have an accident please let us know at once as it is much easier and often less expensive to deal with spillages etc straight away. Damage that has been concealed or found after departure will be charged at cost of repair plus any loss of income from room rental if applicable.

Children We cater predominantly to couples in search of a peaceful, romantic getaway, and have many beautiful (and fragile!!) antiques, and therefore Inn Victoria is not really a suitable environment for young children.However responsible children over the age of 15 are welcome. We can of course suggest alternate good quality B&Bs in Chester that are more family oriented.

Meals A full gourmet breakfast is included in the rate. We will be happy to prepare additional meals, at an additional charge, with at least 24-hour notice. We can supply menus for most local restaurants and are happy to make reservations for you. Please note: most restaurants in the area stop serving food at 9pm.

Booking & Rate Policies

  • All rates based on double-occupancy, unless offered or stated otherwise.
  • Visa, Master Card is required as reservation confirmation, in the amount of one day’s rate. (Checks discouraged due to clearing time, handling, etc.)
  • A minimum stay of two nights is required during Foliage season.

Check-in / check-out policies

  • Arrivals: between 3 - 6 pm. If you anticipate a late arrival then please let us know in advance.
  • Room vacancy and check-out: by 11am. (Necessary due to room prep time for next guests.) You are however very welcome to leave luggage in the hall, and your car parked outside if you want to spend more time in Chester.

Cancellation policies

  • Cancellations must be made by speaking with us in person or via an acknowledged e-mail. Voice mail (answering machine) messages do not constitute cancellation confirmation.
  •  We will be happy to return your deposit, less a $25.00 administration fee, if you provide more than 7 days notice of your cancellation. (Major holidays or whole Inn bookings require 14 days)
  • Within 7 days, and up to 48 hours before your arrival date, you are responsible for one nights charge. If however we are able to resell ALL nights reserved then we will only charge a $25 administration fee. If we are not able then one nights charge is made.
  • A charge of half your reserved nights is required if less than 48-hour notice
  • Cancellation upon day of arrival, “no shows” or early departures, guests are responsible for ALL nights reserved.

Please understand our policies are a necessary part of managing a small Bed and Breakfast Inn Cancellations can effect us significantly. If you are worried about having to cancel for any reason, we recommend you purchase travel insurance through a third party for your own financial protection.
